Based in a beautiful corner of South West Scotland, we are a Dog Friendly Hotel in Dumfries & Galloway. With a stunning beer garden, The Buccleuch & Queensberry Arms Hotel is located in Thornhill, only 20 minutes from Dumfries and situated perfectly as a stop off on a long journey. We are a short drive from Drumlanrig Castle, which has miles of trails and walks, perfect for a day out and exploring the countryside.

Serving up only the highest quality local produce and all rooms finished to a luxury standard, The BQA Hotel is a perfect rural getaway for you and your dogs!

All of our staff are friendly and knowledgeable on the local area, so if you are looking for good walks or local attractions all you have to do is ask. There are numerous walks out of Thornhill that are sure to give both you and your dog a good run! Morton Castle is also a short drive from the Hotel, where a nature trail will take you on a half hour loop. Perfect for getting out for some exercise before retiring to our bar and enjoying the extensive wine list!

Our comfortable bar/restaurant area is a great place to sit in the evenings, let your dog stretch out by the open fire and enjoy our well-stocked bar. We have a range of Classic and Deluxe Rooms available, all with en suite bathrooms. Additionally, we also have Garden Cottages, The Suite and a stunning Buccleuch Function Suite for Hire.
